Tom Walz plays American music. He started out playing classic rock before it was even considered classic, and he was then drawn deeply into the Blues roots of the 1920s and 1930s only a few years after picking up the guitar and then the rack-mounted harmonica.
This interest shared a common depth of soul with early Chicago Blues of the 1950s & ’60s, which he also absorbed like a sponge. At the same time, he was exposed to every kind of acoustic music at the world-renowned listening club Godfrey Daniel’s in Bethlehem, PA. This inspired him to become a full-time pro, and for 10 years he performed all over the Mid-Atlantic States.
Tom is now making a comeback. Inspired by his expanded interests in the genres of Americana and old school traditional Country, Tom has found a depth of soul reminiscent of the Blues.
Tom performs a very entertaining and soulful solo act, which is a pleasure for all listeners.
